The Wren, on South Frontage Road, offer every type of room from cute studios for couples to well maintained two bedroom/two bath apartments for families, all at reasonable prices for Vail. Most of the rooms are great, but try to avoid room 417, a den-like studio apartment with a loud elevator running directly adjacent to it. Overall, the hotel is not swanky, like some other places in the area, or brand new, but it's comfortable and feels like somewhere you could settle into for the week. Rooms come with stocked kitchens, workout machines and hot tubs, beautiful views, free Wi-Fi, and a timely skier shuttle service. The front desk and housekeeping are around to help, but they don't bother you when you decide to sleep in, forgoing Blue Sky in exchange for extra Z’s.
