One of the things we love best about our Park City, Utah location is sharing its Olympic legacy. And there’s no better place to do that than at Utah Olympic Park, situated 20 minutes from Deer Valley at Kimball Junction. Begin your experience with a tour through the Joe Quinney Winter Sports Center, home to the Alf Engen Ski Museum and the Eccles Salt Lake 2002 Winter Games Museum. These unique venues take guests through skiing’s elaborate history as well as through the excitement of being the home city during the Salt Lake Olympics. The virtual reality ski theater is worth the trip.
Now you’re ready to embrace the adrenaline, which is on full display during a ride on the Coment Bobsled. Gutsy visitors brave the 2002 Olympic Sliding Track behind a pilot who takes them through g-force turns at speeds of up to 60 mph. The Extreme Zipline takes off from the edge of the K120 Nordic ski jump, giving riders the feeling of launching into the air at speeds of 50 mph, similar to how fast Nordic jumpers travel. Still craving adventure? The Drop Tower is bullet-fast 377-foot zip ride capped off with a 65-foot-high free fall to the ground below.
The faint of heart needn’t stay away. Strap on skates and twirl on the Utah Olympic Oval, take a guided tour through the inner working of the complex, and grab a bite at the Silver Bean Café. No matter what you do, you’re sure to be bitten by the Olympic bug that inspires everyone who spends time in beautiful Park City.
