VAIL, Colo. -- Aug. 11, 2005 -- Although that much-anticipated first snowfall is still a couple of months away, skiers and snowboarders can take advantage of last spring's season pass prices for Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapaho Basin during the annual Labor Day ski and snowboard sales events in Denver. For four days only, Sept. 2-5, 2005, the Colorado Pass will be on sale for $349 for adults, $199 for teens (ages 13-18) and $149 for children (ages 5 to 12) and the Buddy Pass, $309. The passes can be purchased at the annual Ski-Rex sale at Colorado Ski and Golf in Aurora, at Sniagrab at the Gart Sports Castle in Denver, and at all other Front Range Colorado Ski and Golf and REI locations.
"We're borrowing a strategy from Colorado Ski and Golf's Ski Rex and Gart Sports' Sniagrab and making Labor Day weekend a big event for Colorado skiers and snowboarders. This year, Labor Day will be the last chance to purchase season passes to Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapaho Basin at last spring's prices. Colorado Passes will be on sale at both of these huge Labor Day weekend sales as well as other locations throughout the Front Range," said Chris Jarnot, vice president of marketing and sales for Vail Resorts.
The adult, teen and child Colorado passes offer unlimited skiing and snowboarding at Keystone, Breckenridge and Arapahoe Basin, and 10 days at Vail and Beaver Creek. Both passes will be restricted at Vail and Beaver Creek, Nov. 25-26, 2005, Dec. 27-31, 2005 and Feb. 18-19, 2006. The Buddy Pass offers unlimited, unrestricted skiing and riding at Keystone, Breckenridge and Arapahoe Basin.
Beginning Sept. 6, the Colorado Pass will increase to $369 for adults, $249 for teens and $169 for children, and the Buddy Pass to $329, for both new and existing pass holders.
Pass holders from the 2004-2005 season can renew online at www.coloradopass.com as a more convenient option. Beginning Sept. 6, skiers and snowboarders can purchase the Colorado or Buddy passes at the following locations: Seven days a week at Colorado Ski & Golf locations in Arvada, Aurora, Littleton, Colorado Springs and Boulder Ski Deals; and Friday through Sunday at REI locations in downtown Denver, Lakewood, Englewood, Boulder, Colorado Springs and Fort Collins. Passes also will be on sale at Park Meadows Mall and Flat Irons Crossing, Friday through Sunday. Because it is a new pass product, the Teen Pass must be purchased in person at one of the aforementioned locations with a parent or legal guardian. For more information about pass sales, contact the Colorado Sales Office at (303) 504-5870 or visit www.coloradopass.com.
