Colorado is getting pounded. A rare November storm delivered 20 inches overnight at Breckenridge and eight inches at Keystone. Vail opens Friday, and solid snowfall all week is definitely helping the cause. Can’t get to Colorado? Squaw, Heavenly, Alta, and Whistler Blackcomb open for business too.
Colorado is where it’s at this weekend. An early season storm dumped 36 inches in 72 hours on Summit County, and Vail and Winter Park got their fair share as well. If you’re in California or Canada you’ve got options, too: Squaw, Heavenly and Whistler are all opening this weekend.
Northstar-at-Tahoe got dumped on-- over 5 feet of new snow since this past weekend. It hasn't stopped snowing, and it's expected to last through Tuesday. Kirkwood opens November 24th with more than enough snow, and Snowbird is expecting to have almost 2 more feet the same day. If you haven't figured it out by now, these are the places to ski this weekend. -Mackenzie Carroll
Ski season is rolling into full swing: Killington and Trollhaugen will be turning chairs this weekend, so East Coast and Midwest skiers can get their fix, while more Colorado resorts will be open as well. And, West Coast skiers who are jonesing for turns can start dreaming about Whistler’s opening day.
