SKImag.com Affiliate Link Policy
Our mission at SKImag.com is to stay abreast of the latest and greatest in ski gear and give you insightful intel that will help you make informed decisions the next time you walk into a ski shop. Our staff of seasoned skiers have put these products through the wringer and we give you our honest feedback on the gadgets and gear we love. We are not paid by brands to cover their product—we handpick the stuff we’re curious about, and if it’s good, we share it with you.
However, we do sometimes earn affiliate commission when you purchase a product through a link on our website. This is not unlike the discount you get from your cable provider or hairdresser when you refer friends to their business—in this case, you’re our friend, and through the links on our website, we send you to our affiliate partners’ sites. If you make a purchase through one of these links, SKI gets a tiny kickback from the retailer that helps us keep the office lights on (the struggle is real in the publishing world).
In this program, we only work with trusted retailers like REI, Evo, Backcountry, and Amazon, and the price you end up paying when you purchase through our affiliate links is the same as the one listed on the individual retailer’s website, i.e. you pay no more for the product, but the retailer tips us for your business.
At the end of the day, our job is to give you honest feedback about gear worth knowing about. If it’s reviewed on SKImag.com, it’s because it’s something skiers and winter enthusiasts should check out. SKI’s affiliate program does not play into which products we cover, or how we write about them.
On that note: If content on SKImag.com is paid for by a brand or retailer, you’ll clearly see that marked as Sponsored Content.
