Air and Flair at Killington


KILLINGTON, VT March 4, 2004 (PR) - Killington Resort's lineup of spring events continues as the 3rd Annual Fred's Freeride Pipe and Rail Jam is slated for Saturday, March 20. Skiers and snowboarders are invited to come and show their style at Killington's Sobe Halfpipe in the morning, then on an assortment of rails in the afternoon for a chance at loads of prizes from local shop Fred's Freeride and other sponsors.

"The Fred's Freeride event is one that has been getting bigger and better each year," said Josh Arneson, events manager at Killington. "Skiers and riders are really on their game at this time of year and that makes for a great event for both competitors and spectators."

Prizes will be awarded from Fred's Freeride including products from Smith, Scott, Line, Armada, and 4Frnt. Registration is $10 and takes place on the third floor of the Killington Base Lodge from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday. The event kicks off at 11 a.m. in the Sobe Halfpipe then moves to an assortment of rails at 12:30 p.m. Guests may find more information at the events page of or by calling the Killington events hotline at (802) 422-1700.

Killington's SoBe Halfpipe is located 100 yards above the Killington Base Lodge. The 15-foot walls feature large transitions for bigger and smoother airs.
