Arapahoe Basin, CO May 31, 2004 – The final day of the Colorado 2003/2004 ski season will be Sunday, June 13. A-Basin, the highest ski area in North America, continues its legacy to remain one of the last ski areas open in Colorado.
Starting June 1 through closing day adult lift ticket prices at the ticket window will be $19.99 daily. Spring/summer conditions exist with two lifts serving top to bottom skiing and riding. The upper Mutha’ Hucker terrain park is open with jumps, hits and rails. Summer hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. daily. Only intermediate skiing is available on the mountain.
To celebrate closing day A-Basin will have live entertainment and a barbeque in the base area – weather permitting.
The 2004-2005 Arapahoe Basin Bonus pass is now available starting at $229. The pass includes unlimited skiing at A-Basin plus, five non-transferable ski days valid at Keystone and Breckenridge for the 2004-2005 ski season. One of those ski days can be used at Vail or Beaver Creek (some restriction apply). A-Basin only adult 2004-05 season passes start at $179.
Lift lines are short, parking is free and skier services will be available through close including ski, board and clothing rental, retail shop, cafeteria and barbeque. The 6th Alley bar will be open Friday – Sunday until close. Ski school lessons are no longer available.
