Arapahoe Basin's Legendary Spring Ski Season

Arapahoe Basin, CO April 22, 2004 - Arapahoe Basin opened the ski season on October 30, 2003. It plans to close 278 days later on July 4 weather and snow conditions permitting, boasting the longest ski season in Colorado and one of the longest in North America. While other ski areas have wrapped things up for the season, A-Basin is just hitting its stride.

When April hits, A-Basin becomes the mecca of snow, spring skiing and riding, terrain parks, live entertainment, spring events, camps and clinics, and spring discounts attracting adventurous skiers and boarders well into June and perhaps this year, July. With all of this and over two feet of snow to date in April, Arapahoe Basin is the place to ski and board this spring. The spring events and May concert series are sponsored by Toyota, the official vehicle of Arapahoe Basin.

This season the ski area has received over seventeen feet of snow year to date and this month it has snowed 15 out of 22 days at the Basin with more on the way this week. A-Basin has a 55 midway base and is currently 100% open.
