Aspen, CO, Jan. 31–Almost six feet of snow has fallen at Aspen ski resort this month. The resort’s four mountains–Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk, and Snowmass–have seen storm after storm in the last few weeks.

So far 78 inches have fallen in January–almost 40 inches in the last week. This breaks a twenty-year snowfall record of 43.15 inches for the month. The snow totals will likely climb even higher, as forecasters are predicting more snow forecast over the weekend.
