Copper Mountain, CO July 6, 2004 – The fourth annual The Beat Goes On Concert Series returns to Copper Mountain Saturday, July 3 with its strongest lineup to date. The free concert series will celebrate summer by exposing locals and guests alike to Grammy winners and nominees from a range of musical genres including Americana, rock, blue grass, reggae, and jazz amidst the Rocky Mountain backdrop and blue Colorado sky.
The free concerts are sponsored in part by KSMT 102.3 The Mountain, Summit County’s modern rock station, and the Summit Daily News, the local’s source for Summit County information. Listeners are reminded that pets and outside alcohol are prohibited at the concerts. The concerts will continue throughout the summer beginning at 2 p.m. with headliners taking the stage at 3:30 p.m. and include:
Saturday, July 10
Opener: Jack Williams – Contemporary Folk
Headliner: JJ Cale (legendary singer-songwriter)- Genre- Rock legend
Saturday, July 24
Opener: The Blue Dogs – Bluegrass, jam band rock, commercial roots pop/rock and Americana
Headliner: Tony Furtado (bluegrass’ hottest young player) – Genre- Multi-instrumental; guitar aficionado
Saturday, July 31
Opener: Trevor Hall – Guitar, harmonica
Headliner: Steel Pulse (Grammy award winner) – Genre- Reggae, World Beat
Saturday, August 14
Opener: TBA
Headliner: Diane Schuur (two-time Grammy award winner) – Genre- Jazz
