Beaver Creek, Colo. – Aug. 30, 2005 – Get a taste of Munich and rock to the sounds of Eddie Money in Beaver Creek this weekend with the resort’s eighth annual Oktoberfest, Sept. 3-4, 2005. The event takes place on the Beaver Creek Plaza, and admission to all events and activities is free. In addition, trail runners can tackle the First Annual Beaver Creek Half Marathon, Sunday, Sept. 4.

The Bavarian Costume Contest on the plaza stage offers divisions for men, women, boys and girls. Contestants will be judged on authenticity and completeness of costume (hat, shoes, socks, etc.). Winners will be announced at the Beer Garden at approximately 4:20 p.m.

Presented by US Race Series and Beaver Creek Resort, this race features a scenic 13.1 miles trail course starting at 9 a.m. at the base of Beaver Creek Mountain traversing to Bachelor Gulch and back.
