North Carolina isn’t all about warm weather and beaches. At Beech Mountain, women ski free (and get free rentals) every Monday beginning Jan. 5 (excluding Martin Luther King Day and Presidents’ Day weekends). Two for Tuesdays are just as they sound—two tickets for the price of one (adult-price day or twilight tickets only). Book an early-season room for two adults at the Inn at Holiday Valley (located at the base of the Sunrise Quad lift) opening day through Dec. 24, and receive up to two free lift tickets per room per night. Mont Tremblant, Que.
Enjoy French Canadian ambience without the cost in early- and late-season. Mountain Creek, N.J.
How does “3 for $49” sound? This new deal gives you two free lift tickets when you buy one. Skier numbers are usually limited, but this guarantees you access. The “3 for $49” tickets are only available pre-season and sales are limited.

If you’ve never skied before, the 1*2*3 Free Ski deal is a great way to start. Buy your first lesson for $69, which includes a beginner lift ticket and rental equipment. At the end of the lesson, the instructor gives you a voucher to purchase your next lesson package for $59. Complete the second lesson, and receive a coupon to purchase your third lesson for $49. Ski Butternut, Mass.
Butternut offers great deals to lucky souls who can sneak out midweek. Day lift tickets on Monday and Tuesday throughout the ski season (excluding holiday periods) are just $15 for ages 7 to 69. Seniors pay $10 any weekday.

Ski Plattekill, N.Y.
Stay at one of the resort’s lodging partners and you’ll get a coupon redeemable for one free lift ticket for kids 17 and younger. Receive one free child’s ticket for each adult purchasing a full-priced all-day lift ticket. Offer not valid Dec. 26-Jan. 1, Jan. 19-20 and Feb. 16-18.

The second annual Carload Day is Friday, Feb. 14. The more folks stuffed in the car, the cheaper the cost per person. (How’s that for romantic?) A car of one pays the regular Friday price ($24 a lift ticket); The Dynamic Duo is $20 per person; Three’s Company is $17.50 per piece; and Four for Twister is $14 each; Party of Five is $13.50 each; and a Six Pack costs $10 a head.

If you’re a timid beginner, find solace in a group lesson—free with equipment rental. Better yet, if you’ve nailed the basics and your work schedule is flexible, pick up the $129 season pass valid from noon to close Sunday through Friday nights. (Prices increase after Dec. 25.) An equipment-rental season pass is available for $99 if purchased with the ski pass.
