BRECKENRIDGE, CO - (News Release) - Today, Vail Resorts Development Company (VRDC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Vail Resorts, Inc., announced that the groundbreaking for its only offering at the new Peak 7 base area in Breckenridge will be tomorrow, Thursday, May 24. Crystal Peak Lodge, which sold 45 of 46 units during the winter season, is part of Breckenridge's newest master-planned development named The Breckenridge Peaks. The Breckenridge Peaks will consist of the new Peak 7 base area and the redeveloped Peak 8 base area. Featuring approximately 450 residential units and 75,000 square feet of commercial and guest services, both neighborhoods will have access to historic Main Street via the new BreckConnect Gondola.
"The pace at which the units sold at Crystal Peak Lodge demonstrates the strength of the Breckenridge real estate market," said Keith Fernandez, President for VRDC. "Buyers responded to the family-oriented nature of The Breckenridge Peaks, the expansive views, the architecture that is reminiscent of the great mountain lodges, and its connection to the Town of Breckenridge."
VRDC has a history of working with top designers and builders to provide the highest quality residences. Designed by Frisco, Colorado architect Ken O'Bryan, Crystal Peak Lodge will be built by Hyder Construction. Designed to reflect the Summit County, Colorado environment, the Crystal Peak Lodge uses heavy timbers, moss rock and expanses of glass that contribute to the building's rugged exterior. Inside, The Ranch House of Boulder, the interior design firm contracted to decorate the residences, will use high-end fixtures and a welcoming array of rich fabrics to greet homeowners coming in from the slopes.
The Crystal Peak Lodge Preview Center is located at the base of Breckenridge Ski Resort's Peak 8. The Preview Center is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Buyers and brokers may visit to view scaled models, renderings, floor plans, and interior finishes.
