Brighton To Open Nov. 6

In the women's ski superpipe event, held on Friday afternoon, American Jen Hudak took the gold, Canadian Roz Groenwoud took the silver, and France's Anais Caradeux won bronze. That's Jen's second X Games gold this year—she won gold in the pipe in Aspen as well.

Brighton, UT Nov. 5, 2003 - Having already received over 70 inches of snowfall since September, Brighton will be opening on Thursday, November 6, for the 03-04 snow season.

The Majestic double chair and Explorer triple chair will both be running initially. More chairs will open as resources become available. The Snake Creek Express Quad will open by Friday, November 7 and the Crest Express Quad will open at sometime Saturday, November 8.

Lift tickets will be $35 initially and will rise to normal rates ($41 for an all area day ticket) as more terrain opens. 'Learner' lift tickets are available for Majestic and Explorer only for $25.

Some rails, funboxes and other jibs will be placed in the Terrain Park area for skiers to play on. These should be up by the weekend.

The current mid-mountain base is 38 inches and rising. Snow is forecasted to continue off and on for the next week or so.
