Beaver Creek, Colo., Country music legends Brooks & Dunn will perform an outdoor concert on the Beaver Creek Lawn on Thursday, July 28, 2005. The event is made possible by the charitable arm of the Cordillera Motorcycle Association and Coors. One hundred percent of proceeds will benefit local charities including Betty Ford Alpine Garden, Cancer Caring House, Eagle River Youth Coalition, Habitat for Humanity, The Huega Center, Literacy Project, Vilar Center for the Arts and Youth Foundation.

“This is a wonderful charitable event. We’re pleased to showcase a world-class band, the likes of which we haven’t seen before in Beaver Creek,” said Tony O’Rourke, executive director of the Beaver Creek Resort Company.

The concert will take place on the Beaver Creek Lawn near the Centennial Express Lift (#6) in Beaver Creek on Thursday, July 28. Gates open at 5 p.m. Comedian Heath Hyche of The Blue Collar Tour will perform from 6 – 6:45 p.m. Brooks & Dunn will perform from 7 – 8:30 p.m.

The following items are not permitted within the concert venue: large backpacks or bags, lawn chairs, strollers, coolers, weapons, pocket knives, food or beverages or pets. Blankets and small purses are allowed but will be searched.

Free parking is provided at the Elk and Bear lots located at the base of Beaver Creek along Highway 6 in Avon as well as the Avon Confluence Lot. Complimentary shuttles will transport guests to Beaver Creek Village.

Catch Thursday’s concert, then get the adrenaline pumping at Beaver Creek’s Adventure Weekend, July 29-31. Participate in or view an adventure race workshop, adventure sprint race, orienteering competition, 100-mile mountain bike race, uphill trail run, kids’ competitions and more. All events are open to the public for participation or viewing.
