Denver, CO, Nov. 5, 2001–The Denver Post reports that Curtis Bruner, a 71-year-old Texas businessman, plans to buy Cuchara resort today.
Bruner would be the seventh owner in Cuchara’s 21-year history, wrote Post reporter Jason Blevins. The resort last operated in the spring of 2000.
Seller is John Lau of Dallas, who bought it in 1997 for a reported $2.9 million from Phillip and Donald Huffines, Texas auto dealers.
Bruner told the Post that he will build Cuchara into a destination resort within five years.
