INAWASHIRO, Japan, Feb. 14 2004 (AP) — Toby Dawson of the United States won a World Cup moguls event Saturday for his second title this season, with countryman Jeremy Bloom finishing third.
Margarita Marbler of Austria was the top woman, recording her first World Cup victory.
Bloom, who plays football at Colorado, has challenged the NCAA’s rules on endorsement money. He hopes to compete at the 2006 Turin Olympics.
Dawson received 25.45 points, with Canada’s Jim Schiman second at 24.22 and Bloom next at 24.11.
Marbler finished with 25.24 points, followed by Jennifer Heil of Canada (25.16) and Jillian Vogtli of the United States (24.51).
Aiko Uemura of Japan finished fourth (24.35) and Olympic silver medalist Shannon Bahrke of the United States was fifth (23.92).
