Deepest Snow in Canada

FERNIE, British Columbia Feb. 11, 2004 (PR) — Skiers and riders visiting Fernie this winter season have enjoyed the best snowpack in the Canadian Rockies. Fernie Alpine Resort currently boasts a snowpack of 240 cm (94 in), the biggest in the Canadian Rockies. Actually, Fernie's snowpack is bigger than most other resorts in Canada including Whistler-Blackcomb. Fernie has had excellent conditions all season with 568 cm (224 in) of the white stuff falling to date.
