Drambuie 2005

Boulder, Colo. (January 30, 2005) - SKIING Magazine's 2005 Drambuie Open winter triathlon event travels to Steamboat on March 13 and 14 for two days of snow sport competition. The fourth annual Drambuie Open event includes giant slalom, saucercross and snowbike races with cash prizes and a chance to win a trip to Switzerland.

Over 200 racers will participate in the 2005 Drambuie Open. Racers compete in all three timed disciplines taking one practice run and one timed run in both the giant slalom and snowbike races, and only one run in the saucercross race. The best combined time wins the triathlon event and the top male and female racers win $1000 each. One participant is chosen randomly for a chance to win an all expense paid trip for two to Switzerland. Second place finish receives $700 and third receives $300. Registration is free and open to ages 21 and older.
