March 14-19, 2004

Killington is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day for an entire week as parties, prizes and all things green gather March 14-19 at the home of the longest ski and snowboard season in the East for 42 years and counting. Guests will enjoy deep base depths of five feet or more and longer days during St. Patrick’s week on the most open terrain in the East. Killington typically receives over seven feet of natural snow after March 1 each season.

“It’s been a white winter here at Killington but for a week in March the scene turns green,” said Josh Arneson, events manager for Killington. “With our skiing leprechaun, St. Patty’s Day party and free giveaways, you’ll find more action and excitement than you can handle in one week.”

On and off slope activities make this week complete. Whether touring Killington on a Meet the Mountains tour with Killington’s skiing leprechaun, heading over to Rams Head Base Lodge for a free green ice cream sundae or looking for the lucky K1 Express Gondola cabin to win prizes, guests of all ages will find a variety of activities centered around St. Patrick’s Day. Other activities include a magic show, free candy handed out by the leprechaun throughout the week, a puppet show and a St. Patty’s Day DJ party at the Long Trail Brew Pub at Snowshed Base Lodge with music, prizes and games for all ages.

Continuing in the St. Patrick Day spirit, McGrath’s Irish Pub, the area’s first Irish Pub located at the Inn at Long Trail, will be throwing their annual St. Patty’s Day party. After a day on the slopes kick back with live Irish music, the states largest selection of Irish whiskies, Guinness on tap and a crowd to celebrate this holiday. Guests may call (802) 775-7181 for more details.

St. Patrick’s Week 5-day Ski and Stay packages start at $62 per person per day. Guests may reserve a St. Patrick’s Week Ski and Stay package online by visiting or by calling (800) 621-MTNS. Information about St. Patrick’s Week events is available at or by calling the Killington events hotline at (802) 422-1700.
