New York, NY, July 12–Ernst & Young, one of the Big Fiveaccounting firms, has signed a three-year sponsorship agreement with theUnited States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) to act as the USSA’sexclusive provider of assurance, corporate finance, e-business and taxassistance through the 2002-2003 season.
While financial terms of theagreement were not disclosed, Ernst & Young will be able to use all USSA,U.S. Ski Team and U.S. Snowboard Team logos and have access to athletes andhospitality at World Cup events each season.
The company will serve as title sponsor for both the men’s downhill andsuper G World Cup events at Beaver Creek, Colo., next December. As part ofthe agreement, among other entitlements and sponsor benefits, theaccounting firm will also receive a broad range of broadcast and printadvertisement commitments from the USSA for the 2000-2001 season andthroughout the term of the contract.
