Arapahoe Basin, CO, May 25, 2001–The mogul contingent of the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team is currently in the midst of an on snow camp high in the Rockies at A-Basin.

With plenty of snow still left, the Team is training on several different parts of the area. Off of Cornice Run near the peak, the athletes and coaches constructed a couple of kickers to practice airs off of. Further down the hill, a small bump run was set up to cruise through.

Just about every Team member was on hand, including former Olympians Ann Battelle (Steamboat Springs, CO), Evan Dybvig (Tunbridge, VT), Jonny Moseley (Tiburon, CA) and Donna Weinbrecht (Killington, VT).

The weather was being very cooperative as the sun stayed out all day and temperatures were mild.

A-Basin is one of the few areas in the country still open to the public. With a base elevation of about 10,000 feet, the snowpack sticks around for quite some time.
