There are three types of accommodation in the village. Simple hotel rooms at the Pine Inn, located above the day lodge at the base of the lifts, start at $169 for doubles. Options in the base village are limited. The Starbird (205-341-3054) presents family-style dining in a relaxed setting, while more sophisticated European-inspired dining can be found at Ferrari's on Toby Creek (250-341-3056). Hearty carnivorous fare is on offer fireside at the Heli-Plex Restaurant (800-661-6060). A wider range of options can be found in Invermere, a 12-mile ride away on the resort's free shuttle bus.
If you're looking for a plate of wings, a pitcher of local microbrew and a convivial crowd, T's Bar & Grill (250-341-3055) is the place.
Don't Miss Panorama's signature adventure: a day in the big powder with R.K. Heli-Ski. Approximately $500 per day. (800-661-6060; rkheliski.com)
Getting There Panorama lies 180 miles west of Calgary, about a three-and-a-half-hour drive. The resort runs a shuttle to and from the airport. Cost: $125 round trip, per person. (800-663-2929)
