GOVERNMENT CAMP, OR – (News Release – October 15, 2007) — Northwest snow-sports enthusiasts have long awaited the upcoming snow season. Now, get a single season pass to multiple ski areas on Mt. Hood. Mt. Hood Fusion Pass, the revolutionary season pass, is good at both Skibowl and Timberline — all days, all nights, all winter.
With the all-new Still Creek Basin lift at Timberline, Mt. Hood Fusion Pass holders will have the ultimate ticket to a bountiful 5,000 vertical feet and over 2,500 skiable acres of terrain across over 100 runs and 14 chairlifts between Skibowl and Timberline. Combined, the two areas are open every day between opening day and Memorial Day, weather permitting. This translates to more variety of terrain and more options for area snow-riders.
Mt. Hood Fusion Passes are available to a single individual of any age, whereas other Mt. Hood ski resorts limit their discounted season passes by requiring a group and that group to fall within a single age group. The four types of passes are priced competitively at just $199 for Youth (age 7-14) and Senior (age 65-70), only $299 for Young Adult (age 15-22) and $399 for Adult Passes (age 23-64). Pass prices will increase by $50 on November 12 and January 7.
Passes can be purchased at he 2007 Portland Ski and Snowboard Expo, Nov. 2-4 at the Portland Expo Center, a nearby Joe’s sporting goods store, or online at www.mthoodfusionpass.com.
“This pass offers people the best of both worlds, says Kirk Hanna, owner of Mt. Hood Skibowl and Collins Lake Resort in Government Camp. “If it’s snowing at Government Camp, there’s no reason to keep driving past Skibowl, where the steepest powder runs on the mountain exist. And, having Timberline right around the corner, the best conditions and best terrain parks are all within reach.
Jon Tullis, marketing director at Timberline added, “This pass offers snowriders more options, including added terrain and new lift. This is the best bang for the buck – two great ski areas for one low price.
