OBERHOFEN, Switzerland Nov. 17, 2003 (AP)–A women’s downhill and super giant slalom scheduled for Santa Caterina, Italy, on Jan. 10-11 were moved to Veysonnaz, Switzerland, because the course could not be completed in time.

All the work will be finished for the 2005 world championships in nearby Bormio, Italy, the International Ski Federation said Monday.

The federation also said a combined event—in which times from a downhill and one-run slalom are added—scheduled for Lech, Austria, will be removed from this season’s calendar. Lech was unable to complete work on the finish area in time. The Lech downhill might be moved to Haus im Ennstal, Austria, on Jan. 30.
