Jackson Hole Mountain Festival Tram Days Celebration 2006

Teton Village, Wyoming, Feb. (Jackson Hole Press Release)—Join us in celebrating 40 years of the Jackson Hole Aerial Tram at the Jackson Hole Mountain Festival Tram Days Celebration March 18 — April 2, 2006! It will be two weeks of skiing and snowboarding events, live music, and specials! Headlining the event is Blues Traveler, in a FREE concert at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Saturday March 25, 2006.

To make sure everyone gets one last ride, we will run 2 extra tram cars per day (roughly an extra 30 minutes a day) during the two weeks. Remember the old $2 Tram Coupons last valid 10 years ago? Well, if you kept any of yours, you are in luck. During the Mountain Festival, your old Tram coupons are worth FREE DRAFT BEER at Nick Wilson's Cafe!


Dual GS Telemark Race
March 19
Head-to-head Telemark Giant Slalom race.
Register from 8:00-9:15 am at JHMR Nordic Center. Race starts at 10am.

Jackson Hole Freeskiing Open
March 22-23
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is proud to host the 3rd stop on the Subaru US Freeskiing Series. 100 of North America's best freeskiers, including Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Sponsored Skier Lynsey Dyer, will compete in Casper Bowl in an event not to be missed! Spectators welcome!

Life Link/Dynafit Randonee Rally

The Randonee Rally is a ski mountaineering race held annually at JHMR. Competitors skin up and ski down some of the toughest terrain that Jackson Hole has to offer.

Mechanical Bull Rodeo

Cowboy up and test your skills on a mechanical bull!

Blues Traveler Concert and Fireworks

After scaling the peaks of both the jam-rock mountain and the pop charts, Blues Traveler is back with their latest album ¡Bastardos! Get ready to party with this "rock-till-dawn blues-rock band in a FREE outdoor concert at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort to celebrate 40 years of the Aerial Tram! Opening act kicks off at 4:00pm followed by Blues Traveler at 5:30pm and a fireworks show around 7:00pm

Smith Rail Jam

Hang with the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Sponsored Riders at this judged ski and snowboard rail event on the top of the infamous Smith limousine.

SoBe Apres Ski Concert Series

The party continues with a FREE outdoor après ski concert series at the base of the Aerial Tram from 3:30pm — 5:30pm daily. Featuring Tony Furtado, Mandatory Air, and other favorites! Brought to you by SoBe.

Pole, Pedal, Paddle
April 1
A Jackson Hole classic, this four-event relay race, where contestants compete either individually or in teams, consists of an alpine ski leg, a cross-country ski leg, a bicycle leg and a boating leg.

Gaper Fool's Day Costume Contest
April 1
Send the Tram out in style and dress up in your best vintage ski gear for Gaper Fool's Day. Costume contest at the Village Café with a grand prize trip to a destination resort in Florida.
