BEAVER CREEK, CO – (News Release) – Celebrate Independence Day in the mountains with a family picnic, free outdoor concerts, fireworks and a clam bake in Beaver Creek. Enjoy performances by swing band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy on July 1 and the world famous Glenn Miller Orchestra on July 4.
Beaver Creek Free Concerts and Fireworks
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy takes the outdoor stage from 6-7:30 p.m. on July 1. The Glenn Miller Orchestra with opening act Ambrosia kicks off at 6 p.m. on July 4. A fireworks display over Beaver Creek Mountain follows at 9 p.m. on July 4. All performances take place on the Beaver Creek Lawn, next to the base of the Centennial Express Lift (#6). Enjoy a lawn picnic with food and beverages available for purchase.
Beano’s Cabin Fourth of July Clam Bake
Experience a New England tradition high on Beaver Creek Mountain at the 14th annual Beano’s Cabin Fourth of July Clam Bake from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on July 4. Enjoy an expansive buffet with steamed clams and mussels, East Coast oysters on the half shell, poached shrimp and snow crab legs, New York strip, barbecue chicken, bratwurst, hamburgers and a variety of salads and desserts. Live music and lawn games are offered for kids and adults. Cost is $55 for adults and $30 for children. Adult admission includes two complimentary drink tickets for beer or wine. Avon’s Salute to the USA and Fireworks
On July 3, head to the Town of Avon for the largest fireworks display in the Colorado Rockies as the latest pyrotechnics are launched over calm Nottingham Lake. Avon’s famous Salute to the USA celebration also offers live music, food and craft vendors, a beer garden and a family zone beginning at 5 p.m. This annual hallmark event draws 20,000 spectators and the 9:45 p.m. fireworks display is set to a musical score and is broadcast across the valley. On July 5, don’t miss the Beaver Creek Rodeo Series with bull riding and a full line-up of rodeo events, a petting zoo, pony rides, face painting and mutton bustin’. Food lovers can enjoy Western barbecue, sushi and wines. Kids under 13 receive free admission.
