Killington's Village Gets Greenlight From Voters

Publish date:

Killington, VT, Nov. 3--The polls were good toKillington yesterday after 76 percent of voters (a majority was needed) voted in favor of a zoning change that will allow the ski area to go forward with a $717 million slopeside village.

The 408-acre site in question was zoned as a public open space district. With yesterday's vote, a special district was created to allow construction, but the town of Killington would have more control over the development than it does with the ski area's other projects.
