Summer Programs
1 Day Fly Fishing Clinics
June 28, July 19, and July 26 (women only)
Clinics will be held from 9am to 4pm for novice to intermediate anglers. Learn skills and techniques on casting, knots, reading the water, stream etiquette and more. Includes all necessary equipment.
All participants must have a valid CA Fishing license and supply their own lunch. Fishing licenses, food and supplies are available at the Kirkwood General Store. $125 per person
2 Day Fly Fishing Clinics
August 2 and 3
Day 1 – held from 9am to 3pm Saturday learning skills and techniques on casting, knots, reading the water, stream etiquette, and more.
Day 2 – held from 9am to 2pm Sunday learning dry fly and sub surface fishing techniques, dead free drifting, approach, as well as catch and release. Clinic includes all necessary equipment. All participants must have a valid CA Fishing license and supply their own lunch. $225 per person.
Mountain Bike Clinics
July 5, July 27 (women only), August 2 and August 30
Join our knowledgeable guides to improve your riding skills. We’ll cover various techniques that will allow you to ride all types of terrain confidently. This is a great way to prepare for our Mountain Bike Race Series. Clinics will be held 9am to 1pm and includes lift ticket. $50 per person.
Climbing Clinics
July 6 Introduction to Climbing
During this introductory clinic we will cover the basics in equipment, knot tying, top roping, & climbing techniques before heading to the rock. From here we’ll continue top roping basics and rappelling.
Clinics will be held from 12:00-4:00. $50 per person.
August 23 Climbing for Intermediates
This clinic begins with a few climbing routes using a top rope before discovering the exciting world of lead climbing. After you feel confident lead climbing on the wall, we’ll head to the real rock for more lead climbing and rappelling. Clinics will be held Noon to 4pm. $50 per person.

Kirkwood JAM Day Camps
July 19, August 16 and 23, September 6
Join us on these four Saturdays from 10am-2pm for these themed day camps which will include a hike, outside activity, craft project and games at the pool! Bring your lunch and swimsuit then leave the rest up to us! Advance reservations are a must and each camp requires a minimum of six kids.
Overnight JAM Camp
July 26 and 27
This fun-filled camp is for kids ages 7 – 12 and involves camping out at the bottom of Chair 4 in the footprint of the historic Mormon Emigrant Trail. Camp runs from noon Saturday to noon Sunday where kids enjoy a good old fashioned campfire evening, complete with supper, s’mores and stories before retiring for some shut eye under the stars. The following day includes a hike, games, swimming at the pool and practicing skills learned the day before. The camp tends to fill up quickly so early registration is a must.

Mountain Biking & Mountain Bike Park
Chairs 1 and 2 will operate on weekends from July 4th through Sept 7th (trail conditions permitting). Choose from a network of roads and single track that lead you through spectacular terrain. Challenge yourself on our Bike Park features including a teeter-totter, creek crossings, log rides and more.
Mountain bike rentals available, advance reservations highly recommended

Hiking and Scenic Chair Rides
Enjoy a variety of world class hiking trails and breath-taking views. Stop by our Summer Expedition: Kirkwood Headquarters located in the Red Cliffs Day Lodge for hiking guides, trail recommendations or to stock up on essentials. Single Ride Chairlift tickets: $10 ages 5 & up; Under 5 Free

The original Discwood course behind Timber Creek is back by popular demand! And it’s FREE! Come test your skills on our world class High Sierra disc golf course. Stop by Summer HQ in the Red Cliffs Day Lodge to pick up a score card or purchase a disc.
Ropes Course and Climbing Wall
Open weekends from July 5 through Labor Day Weekend August 31. Kirkwood’s ropes course and climbing wall have both high and low course elements along with a zip line and can accommodate any age, group size, or ability level.
Saturday: 10:30am to 4pm,

Zip Line: $15 1st ride $5 additional rides

Horseback Riding
The folks at the Kirkwood Corral will lead you on a scenic and adventurous ride to view wildflowers and other beauties of Mother Nature in lush meadows and densely wooded forests.
Ages 7 and up. Maximum Rider Weight is 220 pounds.
One 2 hour ride is $46 per horse
Two 2 hour ride is $85 per horse
