KILLINGTON, Vt. (January 7, 2003) – Killington is throwing more than footballs to skiers and riders this Super Sunday. To help celebrate one of America’s favorite sporting pastimes, Killington is giving away lift tickets and group lesson clinics to those guests who book a 3-7 day Ski and Stay getaway for any time during Jan. 24-30, 2003.
The Super Sunday VIP Package is the featured package in this week’s edition of The Drift, Killington’s weekly e-newsletter. For each guest that books the special package on or before Jan. 16, 2003, both the guest and every member of the guest’s party will receive one day of free skiing or riding and one free group clinic. It is a limited time offer with limited space availability and expires on Jan. 16 (read: last minute deal). Subscribers to The Drift always have the first crack at special deals and promotions before the deal is publicized. Approximately 24 hours later, deals are announced to the public. Packages start at $253 per person and a three night minimum is required for this deal.
Killington’s number one ranked apres-ski in eastern ski country along with local pubs, bars and restaurants will be showing the big game and offering buffet and drink specials. Killington is currently 100 percent open with 200 trails at Killington and Pico for the upcoming weekend with 29 lifts running. It expects to offer 200 trails and up to 29 lifts for the Super Sunday weekend. To date, the resort has received 180 inches of natural snowfall and has been making snow, nearly around the clock, since its opening on Oct. 25, 2002.
