Big Mountain Resort, Montana
Morning Eagle Condominiums make up the second phase of the $300 million Glacier Village Master Plan at Big Mountain Resort. Ultimately, the 10-year makeover will include 700 lodging units (increasing pillow capacity from 1,600 to more than 5,400), one hotel, a conference center and 80,000 square feet of commercial space. The architecture will reflect local Montana environs, using indigenous golden fir timbers, granite, slate and natural stone.<
Scheduled for completion in fall of 2003, Morning Eagle will consist of 49 ski-in/ski-out condominiums, ranging from studios to three-bedrooms. This three-bedroom, three-bathroom unit offers 1,391 square feet. All units will be custom-furnished and feature 9-foot ceilings and large balconies. Amenities will include concierge service, large storage facilities and membership to the Hellroaring Club. Membership includes access to the lounge, fitness center and rooftop deck with a barbecue and hot tub—the perfect setting for après-ski.
Big Mountain is a skier’s mountain (liftlines are rare), but it’s also a four-season resort. There are 10 championship golf courses in the Flathead Valley. Gondola rides up the mountain lend amazing views of nearby Glacier National Park. And hiking, biking and rafting are just out the door. Morning Eagle is in the thick of it all.
PROS Early investors will get in on the ground floor of a new community.
CONS Glacier International Airport is 29 miles away, but direct flights from major cities are limited.
