Greenwood, ME, Oct. 20, 2000–Mt. Abram Ski Resort, which had reportedly experienced at least two difficult seasons, will be offered for sale at auction on Wednesday, November 15 at the Bethel Inn and Country Club. Calls to the ski area to learn about financial details went unanswered but details will follow in subsequent reports.

The property to be auctioned includes about 600 acres of the main complex (plus additional surrounding land parcels) with 35 ski trails and a 600-foot tubing park, a 9,000-square-foot main lodge, a 2,000-square-foot log building built in 1996, a 1,500-square-foot maintenance garage, two double chair lifts, three T-bars and a handletow. There are also an assortment of smaller buildings, including a pumphouse and a pond on the property. Mt. Abram has 1,030 vertical feet.
