New England Revolution

Who's better-Eastern or Western skiers? It's an unending debate, but this is certain: The East rarely gets its due in magazine photo spreads. Why? Weather, for one: Most photographers find the comparative gloom and fickle snow of the East too challenging. And terrain: The East's best stuff is cloaked in dense fir and hardwood, where landing zones are tight and view lines are obscured. (You can't see the photos for the trees.) But in the following pages, we let New England photographers-and skiers-take their best shots. Do they measure up? We think the answer is self-evident.
