Park City WC Opening Questionable

Park City, UT, Oct. 30, 2000--Thetrails set aside for the U.S. World Cup opening onNovember 16-19 at Park City Resort were still snow-lesstoday despite recent forecasts for cooling temperaturesand three storms lining up to cross the Wasatch.

Lastyear's World Cup opening had to be moved to CopperMountain Resort, CO, at the last minute when warmtemperatures in Park City made putting enough snow onthe trails impossible. But with the recent forecastfrom the National Weather Service coupled with the facttemperatures this week are cooler than they were at thesame time last year, resort personnel were optimisticthey would be able to make enough snow for the racessoon.
