Maria Bogner, inventor of stretch pants, died at her home at Tagernsee, Germany, last week. She was 88. For her story, see

Jack Mason, 53, mountain manager at Winter Park, fell to his death from a chairlift on Nov. 23 after suffering an epileptic seizure.
Steve Bradley, 86, longtime director of Winter Park and widely considered the father of trail grooming, died Nov. 13 in Longmont, Colo. A memorial service will be held in Longmont on Dec. 9.
