Kirkwood, CA, Feb. 1–After a slow start, the ski season is hitting hard at Kirkwood Ski Resort, CA. Storms have pounded the area with powder throughout the month of January. The most recent system dropped 14-24 inches since Sunday, Jan. 30. The resort’s bottomless base rings in at more than 10 feet. All of the trails are open, with surface conditions of powder, packed powder, and groomed corduroy snow.
