Adventure Racing Comes to Copper
The ‘Copper Adventure’ debuts on Aug. 8, 2004 as a single-day sprint event that will include trail running/trekking, canoeing, navigation, the climbing wall, inline skating and mountain biking. Distances will total approximately 25-30 miles and will be open to teams of two or three, or single participants of all ability levels. This is the first time Copper has held an adventure race and it should prove perfect for novices looking to break into the adventure racing scene. This race is part of Copper Mountain’s AdventureFest, taking place Aug. 7-8, 2004 and will include bike shows, kids’ activities, live music, fly fishing, disc golf demonstrations and much more.
Taking a Break During Conferences at Copper
Besides the breathtaking views and natural scenery you won’t find at your typical conference center, Copper breaks the traditional rules and services you’re used to. Copper has created “Take a Break,” a signature morning or afternoon break service that blows your typical coffee break out of the water. Three unique interactive breaks will re-energize your attendees and stimulate their senses, resulting in more attentive and productive sessions in the meeting room. An example is the “Creative Break, let your attendees relax while exploring their creative side with waffle cone making at a private ice cream social.
The Motorcycle Rally for All
The Suzuki Cyclefest Motorcycle Rally is coming to Copper Mountain for its second year Aug. 27-29, 2004. Participants will enjoy celebrity lead rides, grueling dualsport rides, charity rides, rides for kids, and a massive motorcycle mall. Those with motorcycle licenses will be able to try the latest motorcycles during free demo rides. Also, don’t miss the seminars, parties and concerts throughout the festival. Thousands are expected to attend.
Soaring Above Copper
Soar high above Copper during an exclusive paragliding adventure. Copper’s Summit Paragliding and Mountaineering offers tandem paragliding flights that will take participants over Colorado’s majestic peaks with a certified pilot. Truly an experience of a lifetime, participants will jump off the mountain and soar for up to an hour before safely landing at the base of the resort.
An Authentic Irish Atmosphere
Copper’s newest bar opens this summer offering authentic Irish pub favorites such as burgers and wings in an authentic Irish atmosphere. At McGillycuddy’s, dining patrons can sit back and relax on a sun-drenched deck overlooking West Lake.
