Los Angeles, Calif. (press release) - K2 Inc. has announced the resignation of Richard M. Rodstein, its President and Chief Executive Officer. Richard J. Heckmann, Chairman of the Board of Directors since April 2000, assumed the post of Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Heckmann was the founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of US Filter until it was acquired by Vivendi (NYSE:V) in 1999.
"On behalf of the Board of Directors of K2 Inc., I would like to thank Rich for his many contributions over the years," said Mr. Heckmann. "I am pleased that we will be able to further make use of his experience as a consultant to the company," he said. The company also announced that J. Wayne Merck, Executive Vice President, assumed the post of Chief Operating Officer.
