Antiques junkies might want to make the half-hour drive to Hudson, N.Y., while day-trippers can take in the sights an hour away in Albany, home to the grand New York State Capitol.

Three chairs and several runs-including two expert trails-are open from 4-10 p.m. In addition to day and night passes, Ski Windham offers a combined day-night rate (8 a.m. to 10 p.m.) and a “twilight” pass (2:30-10 p.m.).

The resort offers pre-season packages for both weekday and weekend visits; the best rates apply before the Christmas holiday and after mid-March.
