The late Spalding Gray truly loved skiing. On the day he disappeared, the noted monologuist, who took his life last January, was scheduled to fly to Aspen for a ski clinic. For Gray, skiing was both a metaphor for life and a way to achieve “the perfect balance between mind and body.” He will be missed.
