SKIING Scene: The Cost of Saving The World


Last November, environmentally conscious Aspen Skiing Company announced that its restaurants would boycott swordfish until the beleaguered marine delicacy, currently predicted to become extinct within a decade, underwent a sustained recovery.

In May, Worth magazine announced that Aspen had dropped from the top spot on its annual list of America’s richest towns (based on median home prices) to number two, behind Jupiter Island, Florida. Coincidence? We think not.
