A bluebird day welcomed the 242 men and 10 women into the Slopestyle Qualifier today. Heats 3 and 4 brought out another 16 talented young skiers who will vie for top spot tomorrow afternoon.
Sean Logan rocked Heat #4, scoring a 87.5- 10 points higher than other competitors in the day.
East Coaster JF Houle took Heat #3, getting a score of 77.5 in his second run. Matt Walker wasn't far behind with a 77.25.
Derek Spong, who made a name for himself in the 2005 Big Air, made the cut in his heat, marking a comeback from a disasterous crash on a gap jump last winter. Skiing Magazine twin-tip testers Taylor Felton and Joss Christensen also pass through to tomorrow's semifinal.
