Snowbird to Open Early

Snowbird, UT Nov. 7, 2003 — Following the second wettest Nov. 1-6 in resort history, Snowbird announced today it will open for the 2003-04 season on Friday, November 14, with two chairlifts and a reduced ticket price.
The Gadzoom and Mid-Gad lifts will open at 9 a.m. on Friday. Additional snowfall and cold temperatures could allow Snowbird to open the Tram but a decision will not be made until after this weekend’s storms.
Nearly five feet of snow (59 inches) has fallen at the Little Cottonwood Canyon resort since Oct. 30.
