Bromley, VT, Mar. 13–March snow visited New England ski resorts in Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire over the weekend dropping up to a foot of new snow on the slopes.
Bromley Ski Area, VT, was the big winner with 13 inches. “The skiing is great now because it softened up with almost a foot of snow in the last two days,” said Julie Niles, assistant marketing director at Bromley. “This new snow means we will be skiing into the month of April.”
Other ski areas are expected to do the same, now that weather forecasters are calling for more cold temperatures and more snow.
“The snowfall we just had definitely helped out,” said Wendy Sweet, Sugarloaf communications manager. “It allowed our snowmaking team to bring us back to midwinter conditions, and we expect more this week.”
