Olympic Valley, CA – (News Release) – At Squaw Valley USA the fun and activities don’t stop when the snow melts. The summer experience begins in Squaw Valley’s aerial Cable Car as it ascends 2,000 vertical feet to the High Camp Bath & Tennis Club, el. 8,200′, a world above Lake Tahoe. This unique mountain-top facility is the hub of summertime fun at Squaw Valley. Recreation at High Camp includes ice-skating at the Olympic-sized outdoor ice pavilion, swimming and relaxing at the Lagoon & Spa, tennis on one of five scenic courts, and access to miles of hiking trails. High Camp’s Hiking Center, outdoor concerts, and summer festivals are favorites among locals and visitors alike. Summer operations will officially begin on June 10, 2006. A Summer Season Pass is your key to fun in the sun at Squaw Valley’s summer activity haven.
There are a variety of passes that can be purchased to cater to the likes of any family or summer activity enthusiast. Ice Skaters can get unlimited access to the Cable Car and the Olympic Ice Pavilion with the Summer Cable Car/Skate Pass. Skaters, swimmers, and sunbathers who want unlimited access to the Cable Car, Olympic Ice Pavilion, and the Lagoon & Spa can get the Summer Cable Car/Skate/Swimming Pool Pass. Locals can purchase an all-inclusive Summer Cable Car/Skate/Swim Pass for a discounted price. These passes are valid Sunday-Friday only. To receive this discounted rate, interested pass holders must live within a 50 mile radius of Squaw Valley USA and purchase the pass prior to June 15, 2006.
All ’06/07 Winter Season Pass Holders who purchase their winter pass by June 15, 2006 receive FREE Cable Car rides and discounted rates on passes at the Ice Rink and the Lagoon & Spa during summer operations.
