Verbier, Switzerland – December 11, 2002 – Werner Elmer died on Tuesday when he collided with a slope maintenance worker while competing in an organized race held by the International Ski Federation and the Swiss Academic ski club.

Elmer, 19, died on the slope while the maintenance worker was taken away to the hospital but believed not to be badly injured.

We would like to extend our condolences to Werner Elmer’s family.
