Where to Ski This Weekend: November 6-7

Ski season is rolling into full swing: Killington and Trollhaugen will be turning chairs this weekend, so East Coast and Midwest skiers can get their fix, while more Colorado resorts will be open as well. And, West Coast skiers who are jonesing for turns can start dreaming about Whistler’s opening day.

The underrated snow sponge of Southern Colorado, Wolf Creek notoriously gets more snow than anywhere else in the area, plus lift tickets are dirt cheep. For turkey, and hot springs soaking  stay in nearby Pagosa Springs. Forecast

Thanksgiving is a crapshoot when it comes to skiing, the snow can be variable, but there are early season deals to be had. Luckily, this year we’re getting the best of both worlds, November has already been a big month for snow in the West and you can still find screaming deals on lodging, tickets and food. Looking for a place to give thanks? Here’s where you should head, plus forecasts, so you can decide for yourself.

Where to Ski This Weekend: November 26-28

Snowbird got dumped on this past weekend, almost 3 feet since Saturday, and they are expecting another 1-2 tonight. Northstar-at-Tahoe got pounded too—over 5 feet since last Friday. And Kirkwood opens November 24th with plenty of snow on the ground. Do we even have to tell you where to ski this weekend?
