Winter Park Opens in Colorado

Winter Park, CO Nov. 17--Another Colorado ski resort began its season. Winter Park, CO opened its slopes on Wed. Nov. 17, by firing up two lifts which give skiers access to two trails and a total of 660 vertical feet.

Approximately 450 diehard skiers and riders showed up at Winter Park to greet the final season of the millennium.

Typical for this time of year, cool daytime and even colder nighttime temperatures allowed Winter Park to build up its' base with manmade snow.

Each season, Winter Park tries to open around the third Wednesday of November. They plan to open one more trail for the weekend.

Winter Park is now offering two-for-one lift tickets for $30 for all ages. Single skiers receive a FREE skiing voucher good until Nov. 24, with the purchase of a regularly priced lift ticket.
