St. Moritz, Switzerland (AP)–High winds forced the cancellation of a women’s training session Thursday ahead of this weekend’s World Cup downhill.
Race officials were forced to scrap the third of three practice runs when winds reached 37 to 50 mph on the course, making high-speed runs and jumps on the piste dangerous.
The women already had the two mandatory training runs Tuesday and Wednesday, required practice for Friday’s downhill race.
