Lenzerheid, Switzerland Mar. 2 (AP)–A women’s World Cup downhill training session was canceled today due to high winds and snow drifts on the course.

Foul weather already hampered training Wednesday, when heavy snowfalls and poor visibility forced race organizers to drastically lower the start.

Unless conditions improve to allow officials to run Friday’s training session from the top of the course, race organizers may be forced to resort to a two-run sprint downhill for Saturday’s race.

The downhill will be followed by a super-G Sunday.
